York SLM (Super Low Maintenance):
All the same benefits as the standard York but this compressor has several internal modifications to reduce oil consumption along with a finned head to dissipate heat more effectively. Side by side tests with a standard York show 1oz of oil use per 1 hour runtime (standard) and 1oz of oil use per 50 hours runtime (SLM).
NOTE: These compressors typically come prepackaged with the proper synthetic compressor oil and should only require an oil level check using the supplied dipstick, however you should always confirm before installation. As a precaution, we prefer to drain the included oil and refill using the supplied Amsoil PCK or Royal Purple Synfilm Recip 100 (PN 01513). Proper oil capacity is 10-12oz. Your oil level can be checked, and oil can be added using the side port. Please maintain 10-12oz of oil in the compressor at all times.
Compressor MUST be mounted vertically in custom applications.
